Manager, Advocacy Communications

WSWA seeks an aggressive and detail-oriented Manager, Advocacy Communications to join its team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Communications and Membership, the Manager, Advocacy Communications will be responsible for planning and executing campaigns and programs that support the association’s government affairs team. 

Projects will include creating compelling, eye-catching materials for both print and digital formats, drafting talking points, and developing program tool kits, as well as resources for member companies and affiliated state organizations.  This position will also create and execute content plans for association social media channels and oversee management of association photos and self-produced videos as well as blast emails and media relations projects.

The candidate for this position should have at least four years of work experience including work on Capitol Hill, and/or at a state-level or initiative campaign, and be a talented user of graphics, photo, design, and document and imagery programs.  Candidates should also possess photography and video editing skills, solid writing ability and have experience with content management systems and social media targeting/advertising, as well as a strong understanding of effective advocacy including message development, deployment and effectiveness tracking.
