Job Description

Fortune 100 Information Technology company seeking a full-time, solutions-driven Manager of Government Affairs to support contract, procurement, and compliance duties in a collegial, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Government Affairs, the Manager will build upon an internal and external network of colleagues to successfully execute duties and support the success of the organization.

Contracts and procurement duties include: liaise between vendors and procurement / legal to execute engagement letters, contract renewals, and invoices; create purchase requisitions; reply to procurement inquiries and provide supporting documentation; escalate and obtain required approvals; process check requests. Compliance duties include: collate and synthesize reportable lobbying data; prepare LD and LD203 reports; escalate obtain required approvals; filings. Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of corporate contract, procurement, and / or political compliance experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in desktop applications including Microsoft Office Suite


Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Acts as an internal and external resource on international trade specifications, regulations, and legislation; that affect how, where, and to whom we conduct business.

Designs plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the company. Gathers intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and legislative testimony for pending legislative actions. Coordinates actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives. Projects may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry lobbying efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company’s influence with the government.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible government representatives desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.
