Scope and Purpose of Position:
Versant Health is seeking a highly motivated and engaging government relations professional to join the Legal Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for elevating the government relations function and positioning the company as subject matter experts on key policy issues.
Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, the Manager, Government Affairs is responsible for supporting the government relations function and representing the company on legislative and regulatory matters pertaining to the company. The Manager, Government Affairs will also support the Legal Department in tracking bills and proposed regulations as well as perform legal research on existing federal and state laws and regulations that apply to the vision managed care industry.

Law or Master's degree preferred
At least 5 years’ relevant experience working in Congress, state legislature, lobbying or law firm or comparable experience
