Zillow Group is looking for a seasoned public policy leader to join our team. This role will report to our Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs.
You will be responsible for growing and leading a public policy team within Government Relations and Community Engagement. Your team will track pertinent legislation and regulations at the federal and state level as well as provide analysis and advice to internal teams on the public policy implications of our products, features and platforms. Collaborating with government relations team members, you will also help to develop and coordinate lobbying strategy for new products and features. This is a cross functional role that will work closely with our senior executive team, business leads, product org and legal team - just to name a few.
You and your team will work on a range of issues including financial services, tax policy, housing, immigration, data and privacy. Adeptly moving from one issue to the next will be paramount in this role.
As the Public Policy Director, you will need to show strategic leadership, first-rate analytical and organizational skills while also being able to roll up your sleeves to complete any task that gets the job done.
If you are a quick learner, excellent communicator, and have a mind for strategy- this job will be a great fit! Our ideal candidate will have a strong public policy background, legal acumen and have experience balancing multiple issues/policies at once.
