About the role

We are looking for a Public Policy Manager to join the GCR team. Reporting to the Public Policy Director, you will be primarily responsible for collaborating with our Zillow Offers, Zillow Home Loans, Zillow Closing Services, and Federal/State and Local and GCR teams to craft and coordinate lobbying strategy. You will also protect and enhance Zillow’s interests by influencing product features to limit reputational and regulatory risk, as well as creating opportunities to build our external reputation with government leaders and influencers. If you are a self-lead versatile thinker who can analyze a variety of policy and business issues, present recommendations, and work closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, then we want to hear from you!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide analysis and advice to internal product teams concerning policy implications during product development and launch processes with a primary focus on Zillow Home Loans and Zillow Offers.
  • Contribute to direct lobbying efforts with analysis, resources and subject matter expertise.
  • Collaborate with our Tax team to identify and realize tax savings and incentives.
  • Build programs and processes to coordinate lobbying priorities across all Zillow markets and products.
  • Participate in thought leadership to build opportunities for meaningful and positive engagement with key Government influencers and officials.
  • Provide proactive advice to business lines concerning changes to the regulatory landscape that could affect current or future business plans.
  • Neutralize or minimize external reputational threats through the coordination of strategic GCR engagement.
