American Society of Consultant Pharmacists

The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) is the international professional association that provides leadership, education, advocacy, and resources to advance the practice of senior care pharmacy. ASCP's 7,000+ members serve individuals residing in a variety of environments, including nursing facilities, sub acute care and assisted living facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and hospice programs, as well as in-home and community-based care. In addition, 4,500+ pharmacy student members of ASCP demonstrate their identification with and support of ASCPs mission and vision to serve seniors wherever they reside. Our staff serves the needs of this dynamic profession of pharmacists. This profession has experienced tremendous expansion fueled by the growth in the geriatric population, the shift to managed care, and the increasing complexity of modern medicine. As the practice activities of consultant pharmacists expand and diversify, so does their need for innovative programs, information, and resources. ASCP is strongly committed to meeting these needs.
