Job Description

The Director, Government Relations sets strategy to accomplish legislative and regulatory goals for the construction trade association. Key issues involve infrastructure, tax, safety, labor management, regulatory reform and the environment.

This position represents the association before Congress and federal agencies. Manages strategic advocacy fund, legislative coalition, and PAC. Plans and implements grassroots lobbying campaigns, including annual Capitol Hill event. They are responsible for responding to member and public inquires, making presentations to members, state chapters, and industry groups. They also write for the associations's print and electronic publications. They serve as the staff liaison to the associations Government Relations and Political Action Committees.

This position requires three or more years of Hill, lobbying, and/or association experience. Some travel is required.
